Father's Day Movies

Keep it simple for Father’s Day.   A gift, a barbecue and when the mosquitoes get too bad, keep the party going inside with few movies, handpicked by moi! Caddyshack –  When I say oldie but goodie, I mean that from the heart.  This “battle of the classes” comedy set on the golf course delivers equal parts comedy, drama with a teeny bit of romance on the side.  Although a bit dated, it will still make you laugh with the likes of Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, and Bill Murray’s “Cinderella Story” groundskeeper.  Don’t forget the groundhog! You’ll laugh. Field of Dreams – “If you build it, they will come”.  Redemption story plus father/son bonding fantasy, this movie will draw a tear from Dad’s eye.  Superb actors such as Ray Liotta, James Earl Jones and Burt Lancaster create a film that highlights the power of second chances. Football Fridays – Father's Day Edition

Happy Friday everyone! My previous plan was to discuss the Tim Tebow and the New England Patriots situation, but that has already been done to death – I’m not going to add anything that isn’t already out there.  So, with Father’s Day this Sunday, and given how many fathers love football, I decided to take a look at some father/son football families. Howie Long, Chris Long, Kyle Long Howie Long is not known for his rapping, but he’s known for being one of the most fearsome defensive lineman  in his thirteen seasons with the Oakland Raiders, matching his career high of thirteen sacks in a season. Chris Long, his oldest son is a defensive end for the St. Louis Rams and his middle son, Kyle Long was drafted by the Chicago Bears this year.
