I’m going to do something a little different for today’s recipe day. Love and food. Food and love.
How about Harry Connick Jr.’s Recipe for Love?
“A little bit of me and a whole lot of you
Add a dash of starlight and a dozen roses, too
Then let it rise for a hundred years or two
And that’s the recipe for making love…”
“A little birdie told me you can’t make it by yourself…”
We like things sweet around here so
“Pour some sugar on me
Ooh, in the name of love
Pour some sugar on me
C’mon, fire me up
Pour your sugar on me
Oh, I can’t get enough”
And finally, what’s love without that juicy fruit?
Cherry blossom kiss is what you givin’
Makes my body rock keeps me sizzlin’
Do what you will I don’t care
I’ll be your lollipop
You can lick me everywhere
What’s your favorite food/love song? Leave it in the comments!

Ok, I’ll list 3 as well. These are among my all time favorites! I know every word, inflection, high note, low notes, etc.. They are:
-House is Not a Home by Luther Vandross. He grabs my heart every single time. I LOVE that man.
-Oooh Baby, Baby by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. The song is pure love and sends shivers thru my bones.
-And lastly but certainly not least, Fire and Ice by Rick James and Tina Marie. That song put everybody who heard it in the throes of pure swooning. I have the same feeling to this day. I get goose bumps! No one since has sung that song like they did.
Sigh… I have all these songs and more on a CD that I mixed myself. I play it all the time in the car.
Yes, I’m a self-confessed “ole school” junkie! I will be addicted until the day I pass to the other side and even then! 😀 By the way, Juicy Fruit is also one of my favorites!
Thanks for sharing and the opportunity to also share.
