Six Sentence Sunday – Zombies, Continued

I”m going to continue my six sentences this week with another section of my WIP.  Our lovely heroine, Judith, who has survived the zombie outbreak, find herself holed up on a closet with a stranger, both of them taking cover during a zombie feasting attack.  The closet is small, the quarters very cramped. They escape safely and make each others’ acquaintance as they walk back to Judith’s place. And….action! The sound of their feet was loud on the sidewalk. “I’m Judith, by the way.” “Sky Beckett.” “Sky?” She considered it and then smiled.  “Well, Sky, I guess I don’t need to shake your hand since I was practically giving you a lap dance back there in the closet.” The story is fun to write. Today, visit with one of my works in progress about one of my very fave type of horror movies – the Zombie Apocalypse.    I’ve seen most of the Living Dead films, loved Planet Terror (as cheesy as it was) and am always in search of the ultimate zombie survival kit. And the six sentences…. She should have really

Six Sentence Sunday – Kitty Wishes Excerpt

This is the first time I’m doing Six Sentence Sunday. I didn’t join any lists, so it’s just out here on its own. The snippet is from my newly released novella “Kitty Wishes”. The setup is that our heroine, Sakaria has been cursed to be a shapeshifting cat, and needs a fella to break the spell for her. Luckily, she is dating a nice guy, but isn’t really sure how to up the ante so that he does what he’s supposed to do to break the spell, and she’s running out of time. Her friend Julie gives her a bit of tricky advice that Sakaria is reluctant to take. Sakaria looked into her glass, the milky ice cubes staring blankly back at her. “It’s not bad at all,” she said, grinning. “But it just seems so…” she hitched her shoulders quickly. “Dishonest.” “Once you’re blowing him, he’s not going to
